How long is an appointment?
Initial appointments are generally an hour to an hour and a half. Subsequent appointments are usually one hour. I like to have time to allow the animal to tell us what he or she wants us to know at her own pace. Animals are individuals and some may take a little while to become comfortable talking about important matters, especially if they have had abusive or traumatic experiences in the past. My experience has been that we will be able to understand your animal and his or her situation at a deeper, more healing level by allowing time during our appointment for the animal to become comfortable and for us to explore the situation at the depth and pace that best suits the animal.
What is the cost of an appointment?
The cost of all animal communication appointments is $135 per hour. If an appointment runs over an hour, I charge according to the time we spend talking-so if we talk for an hour and quarter I charge $168.75, for an hour and a half $202.50, etc. I prefer payment by Visa or Mastercard over the phone at the time of our appointment, but you can also pay by PayPal by clicking on the PayPal icon on the Fees/Payments page of my site or send a personal check or money order to the address on the Contact Us page of my site.
How much notice do you need of a cancellation?
I ask for at least 24 hours notice of a cancellation if you’re unable to keep your appointment.
Do you need a photo to communicate with an animal?
It’s very helpful to me to have a photo of your animal during an appointment. If you are unable to find or send a photo, we can work without one, but, if it's possible, I would like to have a photo. If there are other animals in your household, it’s helpful to have photos of them as well, since other animal members of the family sometimes have valuable perspectives to offer during an appointment.
Do you return photos sent by mail?
It's difficult for me to return photos sent by snail mail, so please do not send your only copy. If you want to have a photo returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope and I’ll do my best to return it.
What do you need when you try to find missing animals?
If you are trying to find a missing animal, it’s helpful to me to have a map of the area where the animal was last seen. Some possibilities for obtaining a map include hand-drawing a simple map, which can be scanned and sent, or sending a map from Google maps or mapquest.com.
Should I make a list of my questions for my animal(s)?
Many people find it helpful to make a list of their questions and concerns before an appointment so they don’t forget any of them while we are talking. We are not limited to the questions you draft and will just follow where our conversation with the animal(s) leads us. You don’t need to send the list of questions to me ahead of time.
Can I talk with more than one animal?
We can talk with as many animals as we have time for, but I don’t like to hurry any animal in order to get to all animals in one appointment. In my experience it’s better to schedule a second appointment if necessary and give each animal the time he needs to fully express him (or her)self.
Do I need to be with my animal when we talk?
Since animal communication takes place without regard to physical proximity or normal sensory channels, it’s not necessary for your animal to be with you during an appointment. You can be at work or away from home, but it is important that you are able to relax and give your attention fully to our appointment without interruption or concern about privacy.
